Today, Tuesday, April 12, 2022, a Palestinian worker was killed by Israeli police bullets in a construction workshop in the city of Ashkelon, allegedly for carrying out a stabbing attack, in which an officer sustained minor injuries.
According to a statement issued by the Israeli police, the worker stabbed a 37-year-old police officer, injuring him slightly in the hand, and was subsequently transferred to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon for treatment.
According to police allegations, the police officer asked the worker to show his identity and work permit, but he stabbed the officer with a knife, and he shot the worker, who was martyred on the spot.
The police indicated that the officer was part of a patrol searching for workers working without permits on construction sites in the area where the incident occurred.
This is the fifth martyr within 24 hours, and all of them are field executions, which may appear to be an implementation and translation of the statements of the Prime Minister of the occupation, Naftali Bent, in which he said: “There will be no restrictions on the fight against terrorism.”
